So today I was in the middle of my usual morning routine, sipping tea and knitting a quilt while reading the dictionary under a nice oil lantern my great aunt gave me as a present when I learned how to ride a bicycle last year. I do this every morning before I work my job as a biscuit salesman down at the post office. This morning was different though, for I started getting sad and junk. I began thinking of a particular incident that happened this week that really freaked me out because it made me realize just how much things change as life goes on by. It feels good to know that certain things will always be around and sometimes you take them for granted knowing this, and then suddenly those things get taken away from you and all you're left with are empty memories. No matter how painful it is, how many tears pour out of your face and how much you want to go to sleep forever and ever, the earth keeps spinning regardless and you have to deal with it and move on. Life can be so cruel sometimes......
This week Greg brought home a new cello case, and I'm not okay with it. I miss the old one, it was familiar.
Here is a song I wrote and paid these people to sing. I can only hope that one day I'll be able to grasp ahold of all this.

Sometimes you just have to eat some cake. Other times you just have to watch other people make it and eat it in front of you while all you can do is stare in disbelief wishing the inside of your face was privileged enough to savor the chocolatey goodness that a computer screen is preventing you from partaking in because love isn't always on time.
